Notes: Typewritten extracts, typed as 1771 and possibly written to Florence Irving. At head is: "nightly stewing in the Vaudeville pigsty dressing room, I am sure, affected our health and spirits". If this is from the same letter Irving was at the Vaudeville from April 1870 - April 1871. The 1871 tour was extended to 3 weeks in Manchester and in 1904 Irving had not visited Sunderland since 1857.
